Panic ensued as glassware shattered, and at least one woman sustained a nasal injury amid the chaos. Guests clung to their seats, with one recalling, “I just kept yelling, ‘God got us!’” as they anxiously awaited a safe descent.
FlyDining has since issued a statement describing the event as a “minor incident” resulting from the release of a safety rope intended for wind protection, which led to slight movement and contact with the crane’s roof. The company has temporarily suspended operations to investigate the cause and ensure the safety of future diners.
